So I'm on day 4... I made it through Day 3 yesterday, the first "Cleanse" day. The only thing I can have today (and yesterday) is the "Cleanse for Life" drink (4 oz. mixed with water), 4 times a day. In between, I am supposed to have the Isagenix Snacks (which are only 12.5 calories each, but somehow help stabilize blood sugar, and are somewhat satiating), 2 almonds, lots of water, and the natural accelerator capsules (twice a day).
I did feel a little nauseous yesterday morning after having my first drink. The taste is really not bad though - it kinda tastes like berry/apple juice or something. After I had a Snack though, I felt fine.... and then went to the gym and was able to do the elliptical for an hour. I was pretty starving after the gym, but I just had another snack and then the drink again when it was time.
Went to Game On to watch the Gators and had to watch everyone eat spinach dip, fries, buffalo tenders... but I did ok - just water, and some celery sticks. :) Oh and the shot and beer E insisted on :-/ haha. I came home and had the drink again and a Snack and a coupe almonds, read and went to bed.
Woke up around 8:30 today and had my drink and accelerator pill, and it's around 9:30 now and I'm feeling pretty hungry. :( Going to try to go to the gym again today, and keep myself busy, but the lady said today should be easier than yesterday, and that I probably wouln't really be hungry. We'll seeeee...
Current feelings:
Like I said, hungry, but doing ok. I feel good otherwise, no stomach issues or headaches really... and I have lost a few lbs. already! :) Also, excited to have the shakes and 1 real meal tomorrow.

Day 2: Pre-Cleanse
Today is pretty boring...
Woke up, had my shake (blended with ice) - good stuff... kinda. Made it until 12:00pm and was starrrrving... at which point I attempted to make another shake. However, this time I did not have the luxury of using a blender, so it unfortunately did not mix well with just water and it was kinda chunky and I had to drink it fast... still not bad though. haha.
Not sure what I'm going to have for dinner tonight... I am in a poker tournament for work from 4-6 so I may have some sort of snacks then and cheat and have a beer or two. :-/
Drinking tons of water and it definitely helps deter the hunger a little.
Tomorrow I am supposed to start the actual cleanse where I only drink the Cleanse for Life drink 4 times/day, and the mocolate "Snacks!" (that's what they are called on the package - somehow I don't think the taste will be as exciting as the name).

Hungry. Felt energized most of today (although I did go to bed at 9 and do yoga midday). Have a little bit of a headache. Stomach feels normal, besides being hungry right now. umm what else... oh and just peeing a lot.
oh and I just got a bulletin that there is free pizza in one of the conference rooms :-(

Isagenix 9 Day Cleanse - some background
So I found out about this from a fitness instructor at Equinox who has been in the fitness/nutrition industry for almost 30 years. She tried this 6 months ago for the first time and lost 10 lbs and kept it off (keep in mind shes a fitness instructor, but still). Since then, she has recommended it to over 200 people, almost all of which have seen significant results. Typically women lose between 7-10 lbs and visible inches in 9 days.
The point of this cleanse is to rid your body of excess toxins and chemicals. Toxins cling to our excess fat and cellulite, and are one of the main reasons that it is so hard to shed the extra lbs of fat. So this cleanse is designed to replenish your body with vitamins/minerals and other essential nutrients (which is very different from most cleanse diets which basically just flush out your system), jump start your metabolism, and speed up weight loss, and make you feel better and healthier overall.
Here's how it is broken down by day:
Day 1: Pre-Cleanse - Shake day (Thurs)
Day 2: Pre-Clease - Shake day (Fri)
Day 3-4: Cleanse days (Sat/Sun)
Day 5-9: Shake days (Mon-Fri)
Days 10-11: Cleanse days (Sat/Sun)
On "Shake days" I will replace 2 meals with the Isalean shake mix (230 calories - similar to most whey protein shakes), and have one normal (400-600) healthy meal.
On "Cleanse days" I will have the Cleanse for Life drink 4 times/day, along with at least 8-10oz. water and periodic Isagenix Snacks (chocolate snack tablet thingys). If necessary, I can have an apple or hard boiled egg as a snack. I will also take natural accelerator tablets twice/day to help with metabolism.
Lastly, it is recommended that you exercise for at least 20 mins/day. I can see this being hard on the "cleanse days"... but will try my best.

Day 1: Pre-cleanse
Since it's my 1st time doing this, I have to do the 2 days of "pre-cleansing" to start, and then I can start on the official 9 day cleanse. Today is a "shake day" which means 2 shakes to replace 2 meals, and one normal meal. No caffeine today - coffee/soda/etc. - only water. Hopefully I don't get headaches :-/
I had the Isagenix chocolate (or Mocolate, rather - ;-) ker) shake this morning blended with ice - pretty good as far as mocolate is concerned, and also filling! Now I just drink water until lunch time. The only snacks I am allowed to have today are 2 almonds at a time, if I absolutely need them, and not to exceed 12 per day. I'm going to try to do without for now.
For lunch, I can have a normal (healthy) 400-600 calorie meal. Will probably have a salad with chicken or something like that...
Feeling good so far!
